Gathering Moss use reclaimed timber as well as new hardwoods such as Oak, Ash and American Black Walnut. The reclaimed wood comes from old warehouses, factories and churches; it is normally over 100 years old with a deep, rich colour which cannot be found in new wood; it is choosen for its unique character reflecting the rigours and history of its past life. Gathering Moss also offers a more economical and flexible softwood timber option in Norwegian Spruce, which can be transformed with a wide range of stains and finishes.
